Dear Parent / Guardian,

Your child will be attending school swimming lessons weekly from Friday 12th April 2024 to 24th May 2024 inclusive.

We would appreciate it you could complete the enclosed Swimming – Parental consent form and return it to school by the 22nd March 2024.

Venue: The National Pool of Wales, Sketty Lane, Swansea.

Transport: The children will travel to and from the venue by bus.

Please be aware of the following rules:

Swimwear must be suitable for the purpose. Girls must wear a one-piece swimming costume and boys must wear swimming trunks. Boys need to wear appropriate shorts; however, these must not be below the knee. Large baggy shorts will impede the pupil’s movements in the water, as well as restrict the view of the teachers in seeing the movements that limbs and joints are making in the water.

Hair must be tied back if long or of a length which might impair vision. It is highly recommended that children wear swimming hats.

Jewellery / watches must be removed prior to the swimming lesson (plasters covering newly pierced parts of the body must be removed together with the jewellery before a child will be allowed to swim). Please be advised that anyone with freshly pierced ears (or other body piercing) will be excluded until such time that jewellery can be removed.

Children will also need to bring towels, goggles, and any medication (asthma pumps etc).
