Online Safety

The internet and being online has become an integral part of childhood. Social media, online gaming, websites and apps can be accessed through mobile phones, computers, laptops and tablets – all of which form a part of your child’s online world.

There are so many fantastic opportunities that the internet and technology can offer for children’s learning and development, but it can also expose them to new types of risks.

Online/E-safety forms a fundamental part of our school’s safeguarding and child protection measures.

Welsh Government guidance (2020) highlights the importance of safeguarding children and young people from harmful and inappropriate online material.

At Trallwn Primary School we have a whole school approach to online safety  to help staff, governors and parents teach our children about online safety to keep them safe and prepare them for the world outside of our gates.
